This is finishing work, and it is judged entirely on the finish. Glass has to sit true and sealed; film and wallpaper have to go on a properly prepared surface with clean seams and no lifting at the edges.
We prepare the substrate first rather than covering over defects, which is what keeps the result looking right a year later.
